Did you hear? After writing nine (yup, nine) children’s books, I finalized my first with a major publisher this year. It feels a bit late in the year to celebrate, but it’s never too late to support. As you’re shopping for end-of-year gifts, I would be incredibly honored and appreciative if you ordered one or two (or nine!) of my current titles for the littles you love. From early readers to pre-teens, I’ve got something for everyone.
This new book is set to come in 2026 (good books take time!), but in the meantime, you can preview my writing style, my approach to representation, and my love of kid content by browsing my available book list in the button below.
How did this all start? Well, I started my dual-language children's book series because finding Black lead characters in multilingual kids’ books was too hard. When I did, the stories were heavy! Don’t get me wrong, all kids need to know their history to know where we’re headed, but I was looking for a simple book to share with my toddlers, who were just too young and innocent for those stories. I thought, “I just need ‘Goodnight, Moon’ in two languages with Black characters.”
Early readers, in particular, benefit from affirming representation, and my kids were no different. But we only found Black lead characters in English books. They didn't see much brown when we looked at their Spanish and Portuguese ones. So, like every other parent out there, I made a solution.

So, what are my books all about? To date, I’ve published five dual-language books (in addition to one academic book about migration and four celebrity bios for tweens!
My Spanish/English and Portuguese/English rhyming books are age-appropriate and fun for parents and educators alike.
