Seeking Sources: Home Improvement Experts
Furnaces, water heaters, and hiring BIPOC contractors!
I am writing three home improvement stories and need credible home improvement sources willing to answer questions about these issues topics:
I need to know [in 5-7 sentences max per Q]:
How much does it cost to replace a furnace? What affects the price? Tips to Save?
How much does it cost to replace a water heater? What affects the price? Tips to Save?
How can you actively seek out BIPOC (especially Black/African American) home improvement contractors for all kinds of jobs - big and small? Any sites, registries, or go-to resources/references are welcome!
If you (or someone you rep) are interested in responding, please send the answers to any/all Qs and a short bio with backlinks to my email address: nafeesah@nafeesahallen.com.
If I use your response, I will respond back to let you know!

If you get into a pickle let me know and I can ask the Freemodel crew if they have anyone who can talk furnaces and water heaters. Not sure their renovation experts are fluent in these areas but feel free to reach out if you get stuck! (I also work with a climate tech company that does heat pumps and heat pump water heaters but not the traditional, natural gas-powered types of HVAC items you mention here - good luck!)
