TheBlaxpat Black Girl Pretty & Pink Spiral notebook
When I was a kid, all I ever wanted to be was a writer and an artist. I couldn’t remember a time when I ever thought of doing just one or the other. For some reason, they’ve always been linked. For a long time, I didn’t live that truth.
Late last year, I started doing both in earnest.
I finally launched an Etsy store with some of my unique design concepts, like the one above.
I converted a small part of my home into an art studio, where I make much of my art.
And I’m excited to announce that I’ve landed a solo exhibition in April 2025 for a very different style of visual artistic production—details to come…
So what does a girl who is living her wildest dreams want for her birthday?
…SUBSCRIBERS, DUH!
I’m just three subscribers shy of 400!
During my birthday month, all I can think of is expanding my network. A network means reaching more people who love what I do: writing, making art, penning books, researching culture, strategizing on all things meaningful. Networking also means highlighting the stories that must be told and spoken boldly.
Could you help me reach 400 subscribers by the end of this month?
Last year I did a lot…
Did you know that I wrote an award-winning article for Parents Magazine?
After dedicating myself to Substack, I got five paid subscribers! Your support is so appreciated. I’m so thankful for each and every one of you.
This year…
I plan to dream new dreams.
Sleep, eat, and work out more.
Share my creative work with the world.
Happy 2025 to you.
Please share this newsletter with friends, creatives, PR leads, content editors, and magazine editors in search of human writers, your mama, and your cousin too!
In so doing, you’ll make my dreams come true for 2025!
Thank you for always rockin’ with me.
